Brian Dickason

Kansas House Of Representatives - District 36

I’m proud to be born and raised right here in Wyandotte County! I graduated as Valedictorian from Piper High School, then continued on to Kansas State University, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with honors—triple majoring in Finance, Management Information Systems, and Accounting—and later earned my Master of Accountancy.

Before I ever became a professional, I was already a fighter. I survived two near-death illnesses before I turned 18. Those experiences taught me how precious life is—and how important it is to put our time and talents to good use serving others.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve built my career in auditing, accounting, and technology. I started at Ernst & Young (EY) and went on to work for some of Kansas City’s largest corporations. My focus has always been the same: find what’s broken, fix it, and make things better than I found them. By redesigning processes and holding finances accountable, I’ve helped companies save millions—because when you run an organization efficiently, everyone benefits.

That same principle is exactly what I want to bring to Topeka. As your next State Representative, I will:

  • Demand fiscal responsibility. Every dollar must be justified before it’s spent.
  • Ensure accountability. Our tax money should deliver real value—to the people right here in Wyandotte County.
  • Champion transparency. Government should explain where every cent goes—and why.
  • Protect your pocketbook. I’ll fight against needless tax and fee increases that hurt families and small businesses.

I’m Dotte Proud—and I want to keep it that way. We’ve all heard the old nicknames and negative headlines that have unfairly defined our community. I reject them. With smarter decisions, fair representation, and responsible leadership, we can prove that Wyandotte County is not the “Crimedotte” or the “armpit” of Kansas—it’s the beating heart of Kansas City’s future.

Together, we can restore pride, strengthen opportunity, and make Wyandotte County a place every Kansan looks to with respect.

Let’s fix what’s broken. Let’s build what’s next. Let’s make Wyandotte proud again!
